Mumbai University PhD Admission provides in subjects such as Library Science, Law, Languages, Philosophy, Geography, Computer Science, Commerce, Education, and Science. To be admitted, applicants need to pass the Ph.D. Entrance Test (PET) and undergo a personal interview. Applicants should have a Master‘s degree in the concerned subject with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST categories). The candidates who have already cleared UGC-NET, CSIR-NET, GATE, SET, JRF, or M.Phil. are not required to appear for the PET test.
In order to apply, candidates have to register online using Mumbai University‘s official Ph.D. portal and upload the needed documents. Selected candidates will be invited for a meeting with the University Research Committee for final hiring. The fee for application differs for general category and reserved category students.
